!arrival...
your characters will wake up in a rusted cell in the prison/asylum. it's dark, dirty, and dismal, but despite its eerily oppressive atmosphere they'll instantly realize they're in shadowpeaks, a town synonymous with the word 'home'... nevermind that they haven't even had a chance to look around. as the overhead lamp flickers to life and bathes the small room in light it's revealed that they've only got the clothes on their backs, a flip phone, and a sin brand that ( placement aside ) magically glows. immediately ( and instinctively ) they'll know that not only have their current powers been sealed, but also that they've acquired a new set of powers.
the phone, though old, is still incredibly useful. characters can use it to make calls, send texts, take pictures, read profiles*, and find maps. the service is spotty, so it can ( and will ) cut in and out, but it's better than nothing, right?
if ( and when ) your character leaves the prison/asylum they'll receive a text informing them that their room in the pinegrove apartments is ready. here, they have all the basic amenities. a bedroom of their own awaits them too and, in it, a closet with 2 additional outfits**.
* all characters are assigned a profile and, at a minimum, it features their name, picture, and apostle. you ( the player ) can opt in/out of adding the remainder. if you do intend to fill out the rest, then this other information doesn't necessarily need to be accurate, and you can assume that some poor sleep deprived intern hastily submitted it only a few minutes before the deadline.
** as of right now there is no concrete aesthetic for mwm and, instead, the clothing in question should just be a variable mix of worn, grunge-y, post apocalyptic, and steampunk. the most important thing is that your apostle's colors must be featured on the complimentary outfits.
