WHAT:

[ Team ❤️ ( Jill, Ciaccona, Megumi, Monika ) & Team ♦️ ( Lyney, Mydei, Kaveh, Ratio ) & Team ♣️ ( Diluc, Jing Yuan, Lahabrea, Vil ) will all come to in a claustrophobic coffin six feet underground in the field that all of this craziness started in. you're still suffering from the hallucinations, paranoia, & honesty! which should definitely be a good time for somebody trapped in a wooden box. as for the necrosis, well, that seems to have taken care of itself... but once you're able to move and inspect yourself some more you'll find that you've got shrapnel from the collapsing bunker lodged in you. nothing fatal, but it's definitely painful and very likely bleeding. it can *only* be removed *with help*. you can't remove the pieces on your own. ]

[ Team ♠️ ( Brant, Aventurine, Castorice, Jayce ) & EVERYBODY ELSE will get a text message once the game ends with the coordinates of the woods that your friends are currently buried in. a follow-up simply says bring a shovel. this is probably confusing to those who didn't participate, but they'll find out what's what soon enough. ]

Let me help? It's the least I can do for being such an ass. Especially since you're a big reason for us getting out of there alive.

Besides, I've got this victory shovel so I might as well use it.

[ he refrains from telling him that he doesn’t listen to anybody else, but he does appreciate where jayce is coming from… and aventurine isn’t far gone enough not to realize that somebody should probably try to yank the reins in the doctor’s stead. ] I think the shovels were a bit of a fuck you, but… I do have one too. [ he won’t exactly say no to help… so he’ll just let jayce help him dig in the surrounding area. ] Did you find who you were looking for already?

And what you experienced is the extent of my luck, and how things normally go for me… but just because they can and will go smoothly doesn’t mean I always let them. [ ratio gave him a reason to be careful & take care… although it’s still clearly a wip. ]

...s'good. I'm hoping it doesn't take long to find Ratio. [ but he doubts ratio's going to expend strength pointlessly shouting at the top of his lungs, so finding him is going to be a real bitch. he's going to have to level the forest at this rate. ]

...Any way you'd be able to contact him? A text or something? I imagine he should still have it on him even if he is buried, right?

...I'm not sure a text is going to help, since he's not going to know where he is underground, but I guess it'll keep me some kind of sane for another couple of seconds. In the meantime just start digging here and I'll help in a moment. [ he sends him a text, which goes unanswered. ] ... [ he's going to pop at this rate. ]

...You could call him? The volume on these things can be pretty loud. Or-- uh. That. That too.

[ He takes a breath and starts digging upon Aventurine's instruction, hoping his luck bleeds over into this, as well and he doesn't expend his energy needlessly. Not that he doesn't have energy to burn at the moment... at least he can channel his anxiety into something productive. ]

[ he calls him... and by some miracle they can hear the phone. no answer though, so ratio is going to deserve a violent shaking the moment he's free of his coffin. he's going to put aventurine in an early grave he swears to the amber lord. ] ...where did I put my shovel, I should be helping. [ he also needs to channel his anxiety into something... but also he wants to hide how badly his hands have started to shake. ]

Huh. Maybe he's, uh... conserving energy? Or he passed out?

[ Knows next to nothing about Dr. Ratio aside from his first encounter, which wasn't a overly positive one, but... Aventurine doesn't need to know that. It's fine.

The point is he's stressed and Jayce is here to help.

Either way, time to start to digging! At least they were kind of in the right vicinity. He doesn't at all seem bothered by the fact that Aventurine isn't ready with the shovel -- truth be told he doesn't really expect Aventurine to help him (he doesn't really seem like the type to get his hands dirty in that way... no offense, Aventurine).

He seems to be making quick work of it on his own so the gambler better start digging soon if he wants to take any credit! ]

Conserving... [ he murmurs under his breath, because that sounds like something ratio would do. he wouldn't bother expending energy knowing that he's among about two dozen buried in the area. he was bound to be found whether or not aventurine bothered, so... he's likely just laying there, waiting. however, his mind tries painting a different picture... of him passed out or dead. and dead. he tries to push those thoughts aside as he finally grabs the spade and shoves it into the ground, shoveling dirt aside at a breakneck pace that one might not expect from a twink. ]

[ ratio is found eventually...
as are a handful of other people. ]

[ but sorry, other people, aventurine doesn't care. he immediately throws himself at ratio and clings to him like he'll vanish if he lets go. ]

...is that Sunday's blonde firecracker? I get the feeling we'd hear him if he was around here anywhere, but it could hurt to break ground in a few more spots. Just in case.

Lately he's been very... stressed. Moreso than usual. I don't know if he would, really make a whole lot of noise.

[ More than anything, Jayce just assumes he'll be... tired? He's had a lot going on lately. ]

His boyfriend. [ he "corrects". ] ... [ aventurine opens his mouth, but then promptly shuts it once jayce adds more than usual because, yeah, that's wholly accurate now. ] And why's that? Like most, [ ignoring the outlier of dr. veritas ratio. ] I imagine he'd want to be rescued sooner rather than later, and making noise is the best way to ensure that you are. I'm willing to bet we'll hear him, but... [ they won't know until they do or, well, ...don't. ]
