Skylar

Skylar didn't ask for this, but she's got to deal with the cards that the eldritch gods dealt to her, because maybe, JUST MAYBE, she'll be able to take her 'sisters' and lead a normal [un]life after this. She might not be the brains of the operation, but she's definitely the brawn, which is why she'll often let her fists do the talking. She's not going to take crap from anyone, so try not to threaten her or her 'sisters' unnecessarily.

Taryn

As a purely logical thinker, Taryn sees the world in black and white: something is either Correct or it is Incorrect. She's not someone to go to if you need an empathetic pat on the back, but she's a keen problem solver and still very eager to help. It's hard to rile her up, as she's the type that can take most things in stride. They're already dead, aren't they? How much worse could it get?

Dahlia

Excited and always ready to Have Fun with the sacrifices, Dahlia is looking to bring the fun into sacrificial rituals. Death is temporary, but friendship lasts forever, and work is not work if you enjoy it. Right?

An amnesiac three-headed cerberus that calls themselves Tinea; however, they also adopted the names of Serena, Luna, Isis, and Vastella. They lived in a fog ridden cave behind the morgue for some time, but after having been shown kindness by the people of Shadowpeaks they decided to take residence in the church. Now they spend their time there with their 'little moths' or members of Acedia... at least when they're not assigned to another Sin Team. For the price of some meat you can receive healing from them.

Guardian of the Lunar Coven

Fae is a self-absorbed brat. She lives around a broken stump surrounded by a fairy ring in the forest to the east of the cul-de-sac. You should avoid disturbing her ‘home’, because she’s incredibly protective of it, and she won’t hesitate to lash out and curse you if you don’t heed her warnings. But she’s not wholly unreasonable, and if you’re interested in small utility abilities, cosmetic modifications, and/or small transformations, then she’s here to help… for a price. Pinilope

Pinilope is a gremlin who loves shiny things, weird science, and the greatest thing of all time: PINS! You will never see Pinni without at least a vest's worth of pins on her at all time. She loves collecting anything shiny and interesting. This includes pins, puns, and weird fun facts. She is, however, not especially bright, and is easily riled up when a situation isn't working out exactly the way she pictured.

Wadsworth

An enigmatic robot butler, who shows signs of evolved intelligence, though he still has a limited understanding of humans and their emotions. While he politely insists he is around to provide aid and support to the people of Shadowpeaks –is he actually helping? His employer remains a mystery, but it is highly likely everything he does is still in service to them and their goals.

Mr. Beat

Mr. Beat will give it his all, as long as the children of Shadowpeaks do the same. He does come off as a lazybones, as he likes to lounging around with a drink or a snack in hand. He even has a bag of cookies he carries with him, but he'll tell you those are for a special occasion. Every so often you might catch him startling and looking at his hands, almost like he's forgotten his current state of being? Wow, weird. But he's pretty laid back and calm otherwise. There's nothing that can get under his skin, after all.

Bob

He's just some guy that works as a conductor and loves spiders.

It is unlikely nor do I think we can get away with allowing your clone to plant it for us. However, we should be able to move about quietly and carefully without alerting any of the dinosaurs.

If anything, your clone could also cause a diversion to distract them.

[ he summons his clone who moves onto neuvillette's other side. he takes a step closer to neuvillette, as does the clone, and soon the iudex is squashed between them, their arms moving around his shoulders and waist. ] Or we could simply protect you while you plant it. We wouldn't let those overgrown lizards set a claw on you. [ they both purr into his ears. ]

[ He takes Wriothesley's hand and starts leading him towards the park. He takes a look around when they arrive at the entrance. ]

It does seem unusually quiet, but I recommend we all keep our guards up. The silence could also mean we are already being hunted.

[ he nods and summons his double, who sidles up alongside neuvi's other side. ] I'm sure the silence isn't going to last. These things are likely watching us... [ looks like they had the same idea. his double keeps looking around, listening for any signs of an animal. ]

[ the plants to their right jostle... but it seems like whatever is there has fucked off. then there's a bit of moving to their back, but again... nothing is attacking them. they're definitely just being watched. ] Do you have the mushroom ready?

I do. Please maintain surveillance while I bury it.

[ His dragon senses aren't as strong as they were before, so he can't rely too much on hearing and smell alone to trigger his reflexes. He crouches down and starts to dig a bit so he can place the tiny mushroom properly in the ground.

Distantly, he can still hear plants moving and the soft padding of feet. ]

It is best to remain calm as we leave and to keep our own steps light.

[ a couple of little dinosaurs jump out from one of the nearby bushes. they approach cautiously, but after a moment or two of observing neuvillette, wriothesley, and wriothesley's double they try to see what they're doing. they chirp among themselves until the ground shakes, the little guys scattering instantly. ]

I think something else might be coming. [ but he doesn't see anything. in the distance, there are certainly a number of trees moving and there's another rumble that causes the entire area to tremble. ] We need to leave.

[ Well, that's not good at all. Neuvillette frowns, going still and trying to listen for a few seconds before he suddenly grabs Wriothesley's hand by the wrist, tugging him forwards as he starts to run. ]

Move as quickly as you can. We have to leave this park now.

I think we need to hide. Or at least get out of this thing's line of sight. [ if it sees them, then running isn't going to help much. ] Look for a building we can duck into. [ a t-rex eventually bursts out from behind them, knocking over half a dozen trees as it roars loudly. the entire surrounding area quakes, with lamp posts and popcorn stands falling over. it looks around, trying to find them. ]

[ Neuvillette sprints quickly, gently pushing Wriothesley towards the building and dragging him into a corner with himself as he crouches down to wait. He doesn't make any further noise, staying as still as possible while the t-rex stalks the area. ]

[ his clone hangs near the door... peering out carefully to see if the rex is nearby. it stomps past their door, sniffing & growling... definitely looking for them. ] It's moving on. I think we should be alright if we hang out here for a bit.

[ Neuvillette nods and tries to stay as still as possible, waiting for the t-rex to pass by until he can't hear it anymore. Even then, he doesn't dare move prematurely, waiting for the clone's signal. ]

...Is it gone? [ -he mouths. ]

[ his double waits another couple of minutes, watching as the t-rex rounds the corner and disappears. ] Alright, I think we’re good, …though we should just be extra quiet, so it doesn’t come back this way.

And that thing might not be the only dinosaur lurking around the area.

It is best then if we simply move quickly while we have the chance.

[ He grips Wriothesley's hand and starts tugging him along as he whips his head around, keeping an eye for any other dinosaurs who try and surprise them while he heads for the entrance. ]

[ there’s nothing in the immediate area of the t-rex, as most of the other dinosaurs ( like them ) seem to realize it’s better to just hide, but the further they run the most active the surrounding area becomes. there’s a… chirping coming from the bushes to the side, eventually revealing a dilophosaurus, who pops out ( frill down ) to just… look at them. it chirps again, quirking its head. ]

Why don’t you just run along? [ he straights up, aiming to look intimidating, so it chooses flight instead of fight. ]

[ Neuvillette doesn't trust that dinosaur one bit. None of these dinosaurs look safe to engage with, and he's eager to be out of this park, so he grabs Wriothesley again and starts sprinting away once he's sure they're clear. ]

Let us go directly to Madame Fae before any other creatures decide to greet us upon our exit. We are not that far from our destination.

[ And hopefully the creatures are confined to the park. ]

[ the creatures are not confined to the park, but they also don't pursue neuvillette and wriothesley. they'll be able to hear them chirping behind them, with more of them leaving the bushes and just... staring at them. THEY WILL REMEMBER THIS. ]

[ he sprints alongside neuvillette back to fae, reciting the verses to summon her back out. ] Alright, Fae, we planted your mushroom. Why you'd want it there, of all places, I don't think I'll understand... but nevertheless it's done.

[ He remains close to Wriothesley in case the dinosaurs do decide to go on an adventure. Luckily, they return to Fae's usual haunt entirely unscathed. ]

[ she doesn’t answer wrio’s question. ] As for you bits & bobbles… you know there’s still a bit of a price. Like your mate you’ll experience some… difficulties. [ she toes the “lines” of her mushroom ring. ] He experiences a rut and you experience a heat. Maybe they’ll even line up someday! And every now and then you may also lay an egg… or two. Just a side effect of the draconic additions, I’m afraid.
