Apostles of the Seven Sins

Each house has its own Apostle that can be summoned once a month by recreating its rune somewhere in the basement. It must be drawn in blood, and only the members of the sin house ( and assigned members of acedia ) can perform the ritual. If anybody else is present, then the creature won’t appear. As soon as it’s summoned, then you can make one request per month. A task will be given for your request and once you’ve completed it, then the Apostle will use the generated synergy to fulfill it.

Mostly, I would like for Henry to be able to communicate with others mentally, and pick up on ambient thoughts and emotions. (With player permission, of course.)

At its full capacity, he's able to act as a walking memshare prompt, too, "entering" someone else's mind and experiencing their memories (or a twisted version of them.) I'm not sure if this needs to be nerfed, since I'd only use it with player permission, but I understand if this isn't allowed for now. (Or would require an "upgrade" burden request in the future.)

Memshare 'prompt' would be an additional large burden, but the first is fine ( with player permission ) and as long as Henry is some kind of close to his 'target'. He wouldn't be able to do it from across the map or anything.

Give tarot readings to at least 2 people ( if you don’t know how to tarot cards, then bullshit your way through it ). You will be supplied the cards.

Oh and I forgot to mention: yes I'm fine with waiting on the memshare portion of this regain until later.

Request: Defensive magic: shielding/levitation magic (preferably both but I'd like the levitation magic if only one since that functions the same as telekinesis.)

It would be one or the other, but if you're choosing levitation/telekinesis, then in order to use his telekinesis he's got to be within 15 feet of the object. Smaller ( and lighter ) things he can manipulate longer and larger ( and heavier ) things he can manipulate for only a short time. In either case he'll tire from excessive use.

Start a dodge-ball match ( you can either do it with minimum 2 people or grab a bunch of people & and you’ll be supplied 6 dodge-balls.

Levitation/Telekinesis then!

Request: Her level 2 quill ability, which mechanically allows her, in turn, to remake her spell book at no additional cost. Direct descriptions of both and how they interact with each other are below, since this may need to be nerfed in some way for MWM play.

Wizardly Quill

At 2nd level, as a bonus action, you can magically create a Tiny quill in your free hand. The magic quill has the following properties:

The quill doesn't require ink. When you write with it, it produces ink in a color of your choice on the writing surface.

The time you must spend to copy a spell into your spell book equals 2 minutes per spell level if you use the quill for the transcription.

You can erase anything you write with the quill if you wave the feather over the text as a bonus action, provided the text is within 5 feet of you.

This quill disappears if you create another one or if you die.

Awakened Spellbook

Using specially prepared inks and ancient incantations passed down by your wizardly order, you have awakened an arcane sentience within your spellbook.

At 2nd level, while you are holding the book, it grants you the following benefits:

You can use the book as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells.

When you cast a wizard spell with a spell slot, you can temporarily replace its damage type with a type that appears in another spell in your spellbook, which magically alters the spell's formula for this casting only. The latter spell must be of the same level as the spell slot you expend.

When you cast a wizard spell as a ritual, you can use the spell's normal casting time, rather than adding 10 minutes to it. Once you use this benefit, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

If necessary, you can replace the book over the course of a short rest by using your Wizardly Quill to write arcane sigils in a blank book or a magic spellbook to which you're attuned. At the end of the rest, your spellbook's consciousness is summoned into the new book, which the consciousness transforms into your spellbook, along with all its spells. If the previous book still existed somewhere, all the spells vanish from its pages.

Unfortunately, this is a lot beyond the scope of a single burden. She can have either:

- A quill that writes on its own that does not require ink. It can be reasonably fast in writing. It will not give magical properties to anything written

OR

- She can have a book with a single, specific spell in it. This spell needs to be decided in advance and written for approval here, with all specifics of what it would do. We will then decide whether to reduce and nerf its scope, if it will need further restrictions, or if it will be good as is.

Please let us know what you'd like to ask for revised burden. It can be something else entirely if you'd like, just keep in mind powers are typically broken into multiple regains/restrictions will apply

Not a problem! D&D mechanics take some finagling to chop them down into RP-sized chunks. It's a beginner ability on paper, in actual D&D, but the way it affects other abilities made me feel like I should outline the original scope.

Can she just get back the quill with no need for ink?

She can get the quill with no need for ink. As outlined above it will be reasonably fast in writing, but will not have other magical properties. This means text written will not contain any magic. It will also need input from the user in order to write, and it cannot write something the user has not memorized or does not know.

She will need to gather people (2 is enough) in the cul-de-sac and tell them a story. The story can be real or fictional, it doesn't matter.

Request: His electrokinesis. Mostly just the ability to generate and manipulate electricity. His ability to be able to turn into electricity would also be a part of that, but if it needs to be separate, that's fine.

It would be a separate ability!

He needs to grab 2 people from other teams and go to Pixie's Pizzeria at night, so he can try to fix the shutters to the managers office. Keyword try. He'll find the fuse box has a busted fuse and it just needs to be replaced. He’ll find a new one of the desk drawers. Easy peasy… probably.

He can do this with them both at the same time ( but that can sometimes slow things down ) or you can just do two separate threads. Or however you want to swing it. Good luck.

Request: Empathic senses! Uhhh in canon Force senses kind of tend to be wibbly wobbly whatever is dramatically appropriate, including the negative consequence of being overwhelmed by what they're sensing (tmw your party's space wizard doubles over because they just felt a million people die at once -)

Some nerfs I'm thinking of for it are certainly a range limit, and/or she needs to actively be focusing on a specific person.

I think limiting the range and having to actively be either focusing on the person or the generally vicinity of a person / group of people is fine. If you're going to dive a teeny tiny bit deeper into more than surface level emotions, then just make sure to get player permission!
