housing.
the pinegrove apartment building looms over the cul-de-sac and casts its imposing shadow, which might normally cause problems if not for the impressive number of lights its equipped with. this is where the majority of shadowpeaks residents live. the floor plan is nothing to sneeze at, and each apartment will feature accents in your sin colors and have a kitchen, a living room, 2 bathrooms, & 2 bedrooms. the front door will also have a crest with your sin brand on it. they'll also have electricity, running water, and be minimally furnished ( ex. pots, pans, utensils, beds, sheets, chairs, & tables ) - any additional decor can be either found or won ( in games ).
if you'd like to broaden your horizons ( and expand your living situation ) then you can always leave the pinegrove apartments in favor of moving into one of the empty houses framing it. there are two types of floor plans, but the only difference is the size. like the apartments your accent colors will depend on the sins inhabiting the house as will the crests on the doors. you'll also get a minimally furnished house.
🎇 all of the previous upgrades belonging to your sin's original houses are still available, but now they exist in a shared pocket dimension - so if kaveh and neuvillette both open the door to the spa, then they'll end up crossing paths in the spa. in your character's new homes they'll stumble across a couple of different doors labeled with sin brands corresponding to theirs ( and their roommates ) with the upgrades residing behind them. *note* that only a wrath can open a wrath door and only an envy can open an envy door even if they happen to be living under the same roof - robin can't open the door to wrath's pool, but sunday can invite robin into wrath's pool.
in either case ( apartment or house ) you'll find a severely aged brochure that feels familiar...

Megumi's Little Apothecary
Stepping inside, you'll find yourself embraced by a comforting scent, a soft mingling of dried herbs, floral blossoms, and the faint sweetness of honeycomb. Gentle lanterns dangle overhead, their warm golden glow illuminating shelves lined with neatly labeled glass jars, each meticulously awaiting use. They shimmer under the soft light, ready to transform ordinary concoctions into wondrous remedies.
At the heart of the room, a rustic yet sturdy worktable stands solid and inviting. Polished with gentle care, it feels like it wears the comforting air of frequent use: scattered notes pinned beneath crystals, a weathered mortar and pestle, and a set of carefully polished measuring spoons and copper cauldrons. Plush cushions are scattered around, inviting one to rest while brewing or paging through beautifully illustrated recipe books, their covers soft for frequent use.
Beside this central area, a dedicated preparation nook lies beneath an inviting sunroof. Sunbeams cascade down onto a gently bubbling cauldron, nestled comfortably in a sturdy stone hearth beneath a quaint chimney. Rows of delicate glass vials sit on tidy racks, catching sunlight and turning it into colorful glimmers, patiently awaiting concoctions destined for healing or whimsy
In one cozy corner, a modest yet elegantly carved archway leads into a dimmer space dedicated to storage. Rows of shelves and woven baskets meant to house ingredients still awaiting their chance to shine, all for the rare petals, dried roots, and mystical powders to be eventually tucked carefully away, bathed in gentle shadow and cool air.
Another archway guides you to a captivating sanctuary, a small, enclosed garden flourishing with medicinal herbs and delicate blooms, fed gently by a natural stone fountain bubbling melodically. Its crystalline waters gather into a shallow pool and basin, edged with smooth, moss-covered stones, inviting quiet contemplation and restful pauses amid nature's soft embrace, and tied to the working space where potions and medicine will brew.
This humble, enchanting lab feels like more than just a workspace. It's a safe haven, a comforting nook, welcoming all who enter with warmth and quiet wonder.
